Shoreline Entertainment is dedicated to bringing exciting, year round professional theatre to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Tim and Barbara Hartwig, are the founders and owners of Shoreline Entertainment and both have many years of professional theatre credits to their names.
 

 
Barbara Dare Hartwig, who grew up on the Outer Banks, started her career at the age of 6, performing in the outdoor drama, The Lost Colony.  She began dancing the moment she could walk and after dancing with the San Antonio Ballet Company for a year, she went to college where she received a BFA in acting and directing from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Barbara then took on the Big Apple where she got cast in numerous national tours and played the role of Ado Annie in the European tour of Oklahoma!.  Barbara has performed on Broadway with Chita Rivera in Bring Back Birdie, danced with Baryshnikov at the White House and played an orphan in the movie Annie.  She has performed, directed and choreographed  for numerous theme parks, cruise ships, regional theatres and Universities around the country.  Most recently, Barbara just finished a four year stint with Walt Disney World, where she performed in numerous shows and worked as a staging specialist.  Some of Barbara's favorite roles include Velma (Chicago), Polly (Crazy for You), Sally (Me and My Girl),  Mazie (Seussical), Louise (Gypsy), and Laurie & Ado Annie (Oklahoma!).
 
 

 
Tim Hartwig has been involved in the professional theatre world for over 16 years.  He started his professional career with The Atlanta Ballet, the nations oldest ballet company, working, first, as the Production Assistant, then Technical Director and, later, as the Production Manager.  He was responsible for the building of their brand new, two-million dollar Nutcracker.  Tim spent 7 years with the Atlanta Ballet.  Tim also spent 3 years as Head Carpenter of The Faboulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA.  The Fox Theatre is one of the busiest roadhouses in the country.  While at the Fox Theatre, Tim worked with many national Broadway tours such as Phantom of the Opera, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, Rent, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Chicago and Camelot.  He also worked on the 1996 Olympics, Wheel of Fortune, and numerous other special events.  Tim has worked with many fine artists such as Sir Elton John, Prince, The Allman Brothers, Luther Vandross, The Backstreet Boys, The Smashing Pumpkins, Harry Connick Jr.,Tori Amos and the list goes on.  Tim most recently was the operation manager for a lighting and audio visual rental company based out of Atlanta, GA.  He designed and worked on countless conventions and special events in the Orlando area and ran the daily operations for the company in the satellite office in Orlando, FL.
 
 
 
Tim and Barbara have a dream to open up a dinner theatre on the Outer Banks of North Carolina where they can produce shows year round.  They want to share their talents and love of the theatre by producing exciting, fun filled, Broadway caliber shows for the visitors and local residents of the Outer Banks.
