Tim and Barbara Hartwig of Shoreline Entertainment believe in giving back to the community by sharing their talents and services.  "We are here on this earth to help one another and we will support the community, just as they support us."  
Below are ways in which Shoreline Entertainment has "reached out!"
 

"Community Nights" Benefits Hotline
This summer Shoreline Entertainment did two weeks of "Community Nights", where Dare County residents were able to get in free to see a performance of It's Showtime! with a local ID.  In return, they were asked to make a donation to Hotline, a crisis intervention and prevention center.

Free Performances
Shoreline Entertainment has provided free performances for the following organizations.
 
1.  Roanoke Island Festival Park employees were able to see a free performance of
    A Chrismtas to Remember '06, Kickin' Country, and A Christmas to Remember '07.
 
2.  The cast and crew of The Lost Colony were able to see a free performance of
     It's Showtime!

Sharing Our Talents 
Shoreline Entertainment provided entertainment free of charge for the following special events. 
1.  Manteo's Christmas parade '06 and '07
2.  Manteo's 4th of July celebration
3.  Manteo's Dare Day celebration
4.  The Whalehead Club "Oh What a Night!" Benefit
5.  The College of the Albemarle Season Kick Off
6.  Mount Olivet United Methodist Church service music
7.  The Land of Beginnings Festival, "Kids Day"
8.  Interfaith Community Outreach Benefit, "Stars Over The Sea"

Helping the Schools 

1.  Shoreline Entertainment provided 2 tickets to a winning student from every class of   1st thru 5th grade students, in every elementary school in Dare County, to come with a guardian to see A Christmas to Remember.

 

2.  Shoreline Entertainment provided 2 tickets to a winning student from every class of 6th thru 8th grade students, in every middle school in Dare County, to come with a guardian to see Kickin' Country.

 
3.  Shoreline Entertainment provided a performance of It's Showtime! for the Manteo High School students at an extremely discounted rate.  The school paid for the students to see the show as a field trip.
 
4.  Tim and Barbara Hartwig have given classes on theatrical movement and theatrical lighting techniques free of charge to the students at Manteo High School and participated in career day at Manteo Middle School and at First Flight High School.

Teaming Up with Other Theatres 
Shoreline Entertainment worked with The Hurrah Players from Norforlk, VA.  Thirteen of the little girls in The Hurrah Players production of Annie came to Manteo to perform, with Shoreline Entertainment, in a special performance of It's Showtime!  In doing so, Shoreline Entertainment promoted the Hurrah Player's production of Annie and the Hurrah Players promoted It's Showtime!
